When in doubt ........doodle !
I had a bit of time and started sketching characters again for my graphic novel TT racer project . I'm not 100% certain I want to do a Caniff style...Milt was perhaps too perfect, and I'm wondering if a pencil style might suit. For fun I tried a page of Herge-style characters and then a version of my pencils done in a more Herge manner . Paul Grist is another great contemporary UK comics artist whose style is quite loose and lean....maybe I'll try some sample pages next.
The other few characters are just "stuff" I doodled and thought why not post.
